Investment strategy

National Mutual Fund "Activa" (the Fund) is an open-ended fund that invests in transferable securities or other liquid financial assets raised through a public offering of funds, on the principle of risk distribution.
National Mutual Fund "Activa" is not an undertaking within the meaning of Directive 2009/65/EC, respectively it is not a collective investment scheme.
The main objective of the National Mutual Fund is to ensure long-term growth in the value of its investments, as well as an increase in the value of the investments of the unit holders by realizing the maximum possible income while assuming moderate to high risk and ensuring liquidity of the investments of the unit holders.

Investment structure

The Fund invests primarily in securities admitted to or traded on a regulated market in Bulgaria, including shares, debt securities and fixed-income instruments. The Fund’s investment strategy envisages the realization of capital gains from securities, dividend income/income from equity securities, as well as current income from debt securities and other financial instruments. To achieve the investment objectives, a strategy for active management of the portfolio of securities, financial assets and cash will be applied. To achieve its main investment objectives, the Fund may apply appropriate strategies for protection against market, currency and other risks (“hedging”): transactions with options, futures, swaps and other derivatives.

Profitability and risk management

The main objective of the National Mutual Fund is to ensure long-term growth in the value of its investments, as well as an increase in the value of the investments of the unit holders by realizing the maximum possible income while assuming moderate to high risk and ensuring liquidity of the investments of the unit holders.
Growth is ensured by investing in high-yielding assets, and risk management is ensured by means of diversification and asset matching techniques. One of the Fund's main objectives is to ensure liquidity - both of its own investments and of investments in the Fund's units. There is no certainty that the Fund will achieve its investment objectives.

Who are the potential investors in the fund?

The main group of investors to whom the Fund's activities are directed are investors with above-average incomes for the country, with a good investment culture and with medium and high-risk tolerance. These are investors who would like to participate in the risky assets market, but would not accept the risk of making an independent selection of which assets to invest in. The Fund offers them the opportunity to manage their investment risk, while maintaining the possibility of realizing higher incomes.

The Fund's investment product is intended for individuals (citizens, companies, institutions) who:
  • Are willing to take moderate to high investment risk in order to achieve a higher income.
  • Wish to have secure and fast liquidity without compromising the income achieved from the investment.
  • Are ready to invest money in the long term.
  • Want to diversify the risk of their own portfolio.
  • Want their money to be managed by financial market professionals.
The units of the National Mutual Fund " Activa" are suitable for Bulgarian and foreign individuals, companies and institutions who wish to invest part of their funds in the financial markets, in a diversified product, structured primarily of stocks and bonds, with a medium to high level of risk and the opportunity to achieve higher returns.
